Windows 8, 10 Power Plan Keeps Changing [Fix]

Have you recently upgraded your device to Windows 8 or Windows 10 operating system? Then it’s not a strange thing that your power plan keeps changing randomly or whenever you try to do a reboot of your Windows 8 or Windows 10 device. Unfortunately the Windows 8 or Windows 10 operating systems like the previous versions still have a few glitches in the system. But by reading the tutorial posted a few lines below it will show you exactly what you can do to fix your power plan.
power plan keeps changing in WIndwos 8 and Windows 10

Usually the Windows 8 or Windows 10 device will change your power plan if you don’t have the correct system settings, you can set your Windows 8 device to “high performance” feature for example and after a while or after a reboot of the device it will change automatically to “power saver”. This is just one of the glitches that may happen in your power plan settings feature.

How to Fix Windows 8 and Windows 10 if power plan keeps changing randomly:

First option:

  1. Press and hold on the keyboard the “Window” button and the “W” button.
  2. After you pressed the buttons above start typing “Troubleshooting”.
  3. Left click or tap on the “Troubleshooting” icon that appeared after the search.
  4. Left click or tap on the “System and Security” feature presented in the “Troubleshooting” window.
  5. Left click or tap on the “Power” feature and you will have to follow the instructions on the screen to start the troubleshooter.
  6. After the power troubleshooting is done reboot your Windows 8 or Windows 10 device and see if you still have this issue.

Second option:

Seeing that you may experience this issue due to the fact that your drivers for the graphics card may require upgrading of the Windows 8 or Windows 10 system , you will need to go on the manufacturers website and look for a compatible version of drivers for Windows 10 or Windows 9 systems.

Third option:

Some of the applications you installed in Windows 8 or Windows 10 might have conflicts with your system files this making your power plan feature to keep changing. For this we will need to do a clean boot of the system and we will see exactly if one of your applications is causing the system to react like this.

Left click on the link below to find out how to do a clean boot in Windows 8 or Windows 10 systems .

Now after you did the clean boot, try rebooting the device again and see if you still have troubles with your power plan. If one of your apps is causing this you will have to uninstall it.

Forth option:
You might not have administrative privileges on the Windows 8 or Windows 10 device thus every change that you make in the system will be reset after you reboot the device.

As a fix to this you will have to try to log in with your administrative account and set up the power plan settings, after that log in with your normal Windows 8 or Windows 10 username and see if you still are experiencing this issue.

Pretty much one of the four options presented above will solve your Windows 8 or Windows 10 power plan if it keeps changing randomly or after a reboot.
