Although you can download all the attachments in Windows Phone 8.1 but to Download PDF in email attachments in windows phone 8.1 and attach them in new emails. Due to Microsoft office embeded in windows phone, it is great to use. When we open pdf files from email attachments, it is always saved into two pdf’s apps (Adobe Reader and PDF reader), if you have installed these apps.
If you want to share pdf’s attached in emails, you have to forward the original email. But what if you don’t want to share the pdf with original email, then you have to attach the pdf separetely.
How to Attach PDF in new emails Windows Phone 8.1:
In windows phone 8.1 update, Microsoft has released a new app file manager named Files, which manage your Internal Storage and SD Card files. This app manages all your documents, videos, pictures, music files in separate folder.
This Files app for windows phone will work as a File explorer by which you can find the files and attach in emails. If you wan’t to add files to this Files app, you can directly add files by connecting your windows phone to pc and paste the files in phone memory or SD card.
When you receive a pdf file in an email and you want to download the file, just Tap and Hold on it. But still you are not able to save the file as that options disabled. You can only download and view the file in respected pdf viewer applications like Adobe Reader for Windows Phone or PDF Viewer for windows phone.
The pdf file you downloaded in your email will’t be visible as this is saved in your internal storage. You can only read that file via adobe reader or pdf reader. You can’t attach that file in an email and send it to someone else , unless you forward the same email to receiver.
So we have found a way to solve this issue.
How to Download PDF from Email attachments and attach those PDF’s in new Email:
Before starting, you need to download below two apps which will be used in this tutorial.
Files App for Windows Phone:
WP8 Store
PDF Reader for Windows Phone:
WP8 Store
Step 1: Open PDF files in PDF Reader while opening in Email.
Step:2 After opening that PDF in PDF Reader, click on right bottom dotted sections and click on share.
Step 3: Sign in to your Onedrive account to create a link and share it your own email.
Step 4: Open your email and click the link and select “Save”. This will download it your “downloads” folder on your phone or sd card.
Step 5: Open “Files” and find your document in the “Downloads” folder.
Step 6: Tap and hold the file and select “Rename”. You just have to remove some numbers in front of the file to get the original file name back.
Step 7: Tap and Hold the file again and select “Move to” to move the file to your specific folder you want.
Step 8: To send this file as an attachment to some else you need to open the “Files” app and find the file first. Tap and Hold the file name and select “Share”. Select the email account you want and the PDF is an attachment in that email.
For now this will be the a cumbersome way to get your Pdf files from emails stored independently on your Windows Phone 8.1 and allow you to send them as file attachments in new emails.
