Camera has always been one of the main considerations of all gadget lovers when a smart phone is launched. With the very recent launch of the Nokia Lumia 640 XL the debate has gathered momentum since it sports the ZEISS camera of 13 MP. This is definitely a better upgradation in terms of the other high-end Nokia models. However, here in this article we compare the camera features of Lumia 640 and 640 XL with Lumia 830.
From left to right, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 830 (and note that I’m starting to regret picking the white 640 XL – it picks up dirt and stains too easily, in this case from being in a black carrier bag….!)
The Lumia 830 and the 640 XL cannot be straight away compared for the fact that they are a little different from each other in terms of their characteristics. Each of the cameras tends to give a different output when subjected to the same or even similar condition in terms of lighting and other external factors. The play of light and angle has been important in taking images from the camera and in this case too, the scenario is no different. Lets discuss further.
Image quality in low light
In the present day scenario, camera features are the topic of an extensive debate and one of the prime reasons for customers to buy a smart phone. Nokia Lumia 830 has definitely better features and it winds hands down. The phablet can actually take some of the most amazing shots in the event of a low light area such as gardens in the evening with a great deal of clarity. The low light images tend to be a little less grainy as compared to the ones that were taken from Nokia Lumia 640 and 640 XL.
There is not much to compare between Nokia 640 and Nokia Lumia 830 since the former is quite a letdown in terms of the images that were taken when there was fading light or even with the confine of an indoor system. Areas wherein there is bright sun and plenty of light, the difference in the images of Lumia 640, 640 XL and Lumia 830 is not so clear. The problem begins when the light aspect of the image tends to be a fading spree.
Verdict
After having tested both the Nokia Lumia models of 640 and Lumia 830, the verdict is very clear. Nokia Lumia 830 is a sure shot winner and the camera quality, shutter speed and the quality of the images is far better that what we get to witness with Nokia 640 and 640 XL. If camera is your prime consideration then Nokia Lumia 640 XL definitely has an upper hand on that of the Nokia Lumia 640. So here is what was our pick.
